Scope Of work
Fabricate 20mm Eramosa marble, complete with mitred downstands for the vanity units. Sixty cabins in total.
This was a supply only project, as the stone was to be delivered to Poland to be installed on the vanities, which were being produced there.
Brief
The stone specified on this project was Eramosa marble. It was specified that it was to be cut against the vein flow, as the client wanted waves of veining, not the straight veining that usually relates to Eramosa.
Vistona was awarded the contract to supply all of the vanity units and shower wall cladding in the specified stone.
The Challenges
The only challenge on this job was to secure the right block, as this stone is mined out of a quarry in Ontario, Canada and they only extract at certain times of the year due to severe frost. The block was secured and works were completed on time and on budget.
