Vistona, in partnership with La Ponte Marmi and other companies in Grezzana area are the first in Italy to participate directly in management of the waste that comes from processing marble, granite and similar materials.
SUSTAINABILITY
40.000 cubic meters of waste per year going to the landfill.
Together with the quarry project we have made possible to build an aqueduct that brings rain water to local companies, limiting the use of precious public water for industrial processes.
250 cubic meters of water per day distributed by the industrial aqueduct.
The same water is recycled every day in the company plant, with minimal loss.
GIVING BACK TO THE LAND
Since 2009 we’ve been managing a silts landfill – residues from the processing of natural stone – located in Orsara, very close to Grezzana.
The landfill is also an open quarry that extracts limestone for granulates.
As the extraction activities evolve, the excavated areas are re-filled, thus recomposing the original morphology of the hill. So we give back to the earth what belongs to her, after excavating we refill with residues of natural, properly checked non-polluting material and subsequently reforestation
